Pallavi Kansal, a sophomore at Duke University from Memphis, TN, has served as InnoWorks Chief Recruiting Officer and is currently working with the Finance and Operations Committees.
A Biomedical Engineering major and Economics minor, Pallavi graduated from White Station High School at the top 1% of her class. At White Station, Pallavi was named a National Merit Finalist, served as President of the Latin Society, and was a member of the school’s Chamber Choir. She was also a member of the West Tennessee American Regional Mathematics League for four years, was invited to participate in the American Invitational Mathematics exam, and achieved several perfect scores on the National Latin Exam.
At Duke, Pallavi is an Alice M. Baldwin Scholar, one of only 18 in her class. She is a member f the Society of Women Engineers as well as the Association of Women in Mathematics. Along with SWE and InnoWorks, Pallavi has participated in several community service programs focusing on the advancement of young people, specifically girls, in the areas of Mathematics, Engineering, and Science. Currently, Pallavi is also working with Professor Claudia Gunsch on an independent research project. In her free time, Pallavi likes to play the piano or curl up with a favorite novel.
