Jeremy Chin

Curriculum Staff

Jeremy Chin is a sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and Applied Science, majoring in biomedical science with minors in chemistry and biophysics. A native of southern New Jersey, he attended Cherry Hill High School East, from which he graduated in 2005. At East, Jeremy was the president of the World Affairs Council / Model United Nations club. He was heavily involved in community service activities such as Habitat for Humanity, and was a Member-Delegate of the Cum Laude Society. Jeremy conducted anti-leukemia protein-based agent research at the Drexel University College of Medicine in conjunction with researchers from Symbiotec GmbH.

Jeremy has been active as a staff photographer for the Daily Pennsylvanian, designer and photographer for Koherent Records and Ova Da Wall Apparel, and as a member of Renewal College Fellowship. He is a mentor for the Penn Pre-Health Mentoring Program, and a conference director for the University of Pennsylvania International Affairs Association. He has been a member of the curriculum development committee for Innoworks for the last year.

He is currently conducting thoracic aortic surgery research with the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery of the University of Pennsylvania Health System, under the guidance of Dr. Joseph Bavaria. Jeremy intends to pursue a career in medicine.
