Ashwin Kamath

Co-Curriculum Chair

After graduating from NYU's Stern School of Business with a business degree and a chemistry minor, Ashwin Kamath enrolled at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine where he is currently an M.D. student.

In college, Ashwin was involved in a number of activities and organizations such as the Stern Healthcare Group, NYU Hindu Students' Council, and the NYU Center for Neural Science (LeDoux Lab). Service and teaching have also been a large part of his life. Ashwin was an SAT/PSAT instructor for children in inner-city schools in Manhattan and the Bronx during college, and also served as a Math and English tutor for adults through Project Renewal NYC - an organization dedicated to providing a career pathway for impoverished New Yorkers. Additionally, Ashwin spent his winter break of 2008 in Ghana with Unite For Sight, reaching out to rural villages to educate about eye care and preventable blindness. All these experiences led him to be naturally drawn to the mission and goals of InnoWorks.

Ashwin is originally from West Windsor, New Jersey. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, playing and listening to music from around the world, traveling, astronomy, philosophy, and trying new foods.
