Julia Chen

Co-Information Chair

Julia Chen is currently a first year at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and is currently interested in going into a subspecialty of Pediatrics. Julia graduated from Northwestern University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in Global Health. At Northwestern she was actively involved as as facilitator for the Gateway Science Program and worked as a Teaching Assistant for the Department of Biological Sciences. She has spent time volunteering with the CommunityHealth Clinic of Chicago and coaching for Special Olympics. At Northwestern, Julia worked in the Auditory Neuroscience Lab where she studied the differences in cortical processing of sound in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder resulting a paper published in the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders.

At Mount Sinai, in addition to InnoWorks, Julia is a teacher for MedDocs and plans to spend her summer working on research in the Department of Orthopaedics.
