Michael Young is a junior pursuing a dual degree in Physics and Materials Science Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania. He works in two engineering labs investigating nanocomposite materials and electro-optical physics. Aside from these research areas, his work experience includes three years interning in hospitals. Outside of academics, he is the Editor-in-Chief of the Pennsylvania Triangle Magazine, the official magazine of the School of Engineering and Applied Science, a member of Weiss Tech House, a technology entrepreneurial resource hub, a tutor, and an academic major advisor. His involvement in the community includes doing community service through church and Communitech, and working in the department of rehabilitation medicine in the university hospital. His interests include social entrepreneurship and developmental economics.
