Steven Chen

2011 Co-Director, 2009 Mentor

Steven is a rising senior at the University of Pennsylvania majoring in Bioengineering. During the day, he can be found at the indiscoverable computational memory lab above CVS where he conducts research on his 30" Cinema HD monitor. When not napping or singing his heart out, he makes sure PennScience isn't falling apart or critiques the latest professors for Penn Course Review. On clear nights, he frequents the tennis courts as part of the Club Tennis team or faces off with an unfortunate soul of the Taekwondo team.

His passion for medicine has led him to serve as Asian volunteer at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He also dedicates his time to children through Big Brothers Big Sisters and West Philadelphia Tutoring Project. Raised in West Philly, he scoffs at the 40th Street line and any attempts to prevent him from combining his love of science and kids as he prepares to co-direct InnoWorks this upcoming fall.

InnoWorks is a Winner of the 2007 BRICK Awards
