Timothy Hennelly

2011 Co-Director, 2010 Co-Deputy Director

Tim Hennelly is a junior at the University of Pennsylvania, majoring in electrical engineering with minors in mathematics and Mandarin Chinese. This is his third year participating in the InnoWorks program at Penn. He started out as a mentor his first year, then became a Deputy Director, and this year he will be Director.

Tim has always enjoyed sharing his love of learning with children, and in addition to InnoWorks, he tutors at schools in the West Philadelphia community, including Shaw, West Philly High, and University City High. Tim is also the President of Pennís Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) chapter, and is a campus tour guide and student ambassador.

Professionally, Tim has spent the last three years working in the energy industry, with time spent doing fieldwork for PECO in Philadelphia, and economic modeling for Exelon. Upon graduation he hopes to go to work on clean energy projects, as well as study nuclear engineering. Outside of work and school, Tim enjoys playing the guitar, singing karaoke, and going on road trips.
