Erin Li

2009 Mentor

Erin Li is a rising junior in the College at Penn majoring in Science, Technology, and Society and minoring in Chinese and Biology.

She is new to the InnoWorks team and is eager to form friendships with students and help them cultivate an interest in science and technology.

At Penn, Erin tutors at Powel Elementary School with the West Philadelphia Tutoring Program, volunteers in the oncology department at HUP, and is a Brother in Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity (Co-Ed). She will soon use her skills as an EMT on Pennís Medical Emergency Response Team, and occasionally enjoys the dumpling-eating parties organized by the Chinese Studentsí Association.

Erin recently returned from a summer studying Chinese in Beijing and hopes to teach in China for a year before attending medical school.

Hailing from Chicago and California, Erin likes to complain about the lack of deep-dish pizza on the East Coast, but is admittedly a big fan of Philly cheese-steaks, Ben Franklin, and of course, Penn. She canít wait to be involved in InnoWorks this year!
