Ankush Chandra

Chief Curriculum Officer

Ankush Chandra is currently a junior at Boston University, where he is enrolled in the Neuroscience program while minoring in biology. He is conducting research at the Department of Biology at Boston University under the guidance of Dr. Hengye Man. His current research focuses on molecular mechanisms underlying AMPAR synaptic localization and synaptic plasticity. In addition to his current research position, Ankush has conducted research at Center for Memory and Brain at Boston University, Department of Endocrinolgy at Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM) and Department of Endocrinology at Weill Cornell Medical Center, New York.

Throughout high school Ankush was the president of the science club and helped organize science related events such as symposiums at the regional and state level in India. He is also a two-time winner of Dr. A.K. Saha Young Scientist Experimental Project, a national scientific symposium held in India. He is also actively working with the Education Resource Center at Boston University as a Peer tutor in Calculus and a few biology courses.

Ankush is also the President of the Boston University Cricket Club and you will often find him playing cricket every weekend in the New England area. Besides cricket, you would often find Ankush playing basketball and squash at the gym. Ankush is also a Resident Assistant at BU and serves as a role model for the student community.

Besides all these, you can often find Ankush cooking and eating with Nikhil, Director of BUís InnoWorks Chapter and Ian, Deputy Director of BUís InnoWorks Chapter.
