Jarred Mondonedo

Chief Information Officer

Jarred Mondonedo (BME '11) is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at Boston University. Engineering was an easy choice for the multiple Dean's list recipient as his academic interests revolve around mathematics and the pure sciences, especially organic chemistry and physics. Jarred is also working on a minor in nanotechnology - one of two new programs BU has initiated this year. After completion of his undergraduate degree at BU, Jarred hopes to attend medical school and pursue a career in medicine.

Born and raised in Southern California, Jarred conducts research at the University of Southern California's Institute for Creative Technology (USC ICT) while he is home for summers. Under the direction of Arno Hartholt and Anton Leuski Ph.D, Jarred's work has been focused on the Gunslinger Project, which specializes on developing the human interface for AI-driven Virtual Humans.

When not in lab or studying, Jarred can usually be found at the range working on his swing. He is captain of the Boston University Mens Golf team, which competes throughout the New England area and has had a very successful season that included 6 conference wins and a second place finish at the conference championship. In addition to golf, Jarred is also an avid tennis player and guitarist. In his downtime, he enjoys watching major tennis championships and the New York Yankees dominate the AL East.

Jarred has been Chief Information Officer for the Boston University Chapter of InnoWorks since March 2009.
