Susan Shehayeb

2012 Chief Financial Officer, 2011 Mentor, Curriculum Officer

Susan Shehayeb is a second year biology major at UCLA’s College of Letters and Sciences. This is also her second year volunteering with InnoWorks at UCLA where she is acting as a Financial Director. She previously held the positions of Mentor and Curriculum Officer.

In high school, Susan worked as a tutor in writing and mathematics for three years. She was also treasurer of a club dedicated to providing education and aid to the underprivileged, especially to women and children, throughout the world. In addition to this, Susan was a reporter for her school newspaper, holding the position of editor-in-chief her senior year.

At UCLA, Susan researches the regulation of cryptochromes on gene expression in Arabidopsis in Dr. Chentao Lin’s lab. She is an intern with Bruin Partners, where she tutors students at Marina del Rey Middle School. She is also a donor at UCLA’s Blood and Platelet Center.

In her free time, Susan enjoys dancing, cooking, running, traveling, photography, playing the piano, and listening to music.
