Jimmy Guo2012 Co-Deputy Director
Jimmy Guo is currently a sophomore from Burlingame, California majoring in biology, minoring in economics, and pursuing a certificate in markets & management. While science is his passion, he hopes to pursue a business career in a science related field, a decision made after two summers of laboratory research at the University of California at Davis and Stanford University.
A graduate of Burlingame High School, Jimmy enjoys being involved in his community, especially through sharing his experiences. In 2008, he founded the Redwood Shores Go Club where he taught Go and mathematics to small children every weekend and served as a tutor at his school’s library every day after school.
In addition, Jimmy strongly values cultural diversity. During his term as president, he revived Asian Club and fundraised to hire lion dancers on campus. For his efforts, he was awarded the Jefferson Award for Community Service and voted Senior of the Year by his faculty and peers. In his free time, he enjoys sports, meeting new people, playing Go, and trying new things.
