Nilesh Raval

2011-2012 Mentor

Nilesh is a junior working towards an undergraduate degree in Biophysics and a minor in Spanish from the College of Literature, Science and the Arts Honors Program. He joined the curriculum development team of InnoWorks last year so that he could share his enthusiasm and passion for science with younger students and inspire them towards careers in science. Nilesh has been conducting research on the correlation between systemic diseases and corneal nerves at the Kellogg Eye Center for the past two years.  He is also a counselor at Camp Kesem, a free summer camp for youth who have family members with cancer, and he participates in fundraising activities throughout the year to send the children to camp. Nilesh is on the executive boards of both the Stamps Scholars Society and the newly formed Millennium Development Goals Awareness Project (MDGAP). Off campus, Nilesh volunteers as head judge for several regional and county spelling bees. During his spare time you will find him out on the golf course with his buddies or in the gym working on his fitness.
