Angela Li

Co-Curriculum Officer-2018

I am currently a 3rd year undergraduate at UCLA, and I study the wonderful world of Biochemistry. At UCLA, I am involved in various organizations, the most prominent ones being Innoworks and UCLA Club Archery. I also work as a Care Extender at Ronald Reagan Medical Center, which allows me to further my goal of having a career in the health sciences. On the side, I like to play various instruments and sports, some examples being tennis, badminton, ultimate frisbee, piano, and violin. The main reason why I joined Innoworks was because I really love the way we spread the wonderfulness of STEM! I come from Baldwin Park, a community that is very close-knit and lively, but because the population is 90+ percent Hispanic, we are often looked down upon when the topic of education comes around. Teaching children with the Innoworks camp makes me feel like I, along with my peers, can change communities that are under-represented in STEM.
