Regina Cheng

2007/2008 Director

Gina Cheng is a sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Bioengineering with a minor in Chemistry. She was a mentor with the Duke and Maryland Chapters of InnoWorks for the past two years. In May 2005, she graduated from Winston Churchill High School as a member of the Academy of Math, Science, & Technology and as an AP Scholar with Distinction. She also served as captain of the Girls' Varsity and Coed Varsity Volleyball teams for three years. She has received the State of Maryland Merit Scholastic Award, the State of Maryland and the Montgomery County Public Schools Certificate of Meritorious Service, the President's Volunteer Service Award, the Certificate for Dedicated Support & Participation in Community Outreach Programs of Montgomery County, the 2005 Scholar Athlete Award, as well as the 2005 Chinese American Medical Society Scholarship.

Gina currently works in the Perioperative Services department of the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. She is also the Co-Webmistress and Yearbook Chair for Sigma Psi Zeta, which is an organization dedicated to professional and educational development. In addition, she is a member of the American Medical Student Association and the Biomedical Engineering Society. In the community, she has been involved in aiding domestic violence shelters in Philadelphia and organizing bone marrow drives. She plans to pursue a career in medicine.
