Chester Tung

2008 Co-Director

Chester Tung is currently a senior double majoring in Neurobiology/Physiology and Criminology/Criminal Justice at the University of Maryland College Park. This is his second year working with InnoWorks. In the Summer of 2007, he volunteered as a mentor for the InnoWorks Program. Now he has been promoted to Co-Director.

At Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda Maryland, Chester graduated with honors in 2004 and took on leadership roles as Captain of his high school volleyball team in his junior and senior years. Also, during his junior year, he made Third Chair Trumpet in Wind Ensemble, the top wind instrument band in Walter Johnson.

During high school, Chester was involved with CCACC, serving the Chinese community by way of running a facility where they can hold various activities such as dancing, volleyball, badminton, singing, and watching movies. Also, they hold an annual Chinese New Year celebration at a local mall. Chester did community service for CCACC totaling over 260 hours. In college, he continued his passion for community service by working with organizations such as Martha’s Table and now currently InnoWorks.

Chester plans to attend medical school after he graduates. He is currently employed at the Office of Multi-Ethnic Student Education at the University of Maryland.
