Harvard - MIT Chapter
Message from the Harvard-MIT Chapter Director: Ambar Mehta
Greetings from the Harvard-MIT InnoWorks chapter!
This is our first year doing InnoWorks and we are dedicated to promoting science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine (STEM2) as exciting and realistic career paths for young middle and high school students in the greater Boston and Cambridge area. Many of these students have not had the chance to attend science camps. InnoWorks will provide a unique opportunity for these students to explore new ideas in science, and develop their interest and curiosity in different scientific fields. We hope that the InnoWorks experience will inspire students to seek other such opportunities in the future and pursue careers in the sciences. We plan to implement our first camp in the summer of 2010.
We have a passionate and motivated group of individuals on our team, composed of several medical students from Harvard Medical School, and undergraduate and graduate students from MIT. We are currently working with the InnoWorks chapter at the University of California, Los Angeles to design and write a new medical curriculum called Medical Innovations. This curriculum will help students explore interesting biomedical technological advances and mysteries of this age.
We would like to thank all of our volunteers and leaders for their help, support and dedication. We look forward to working with all of you for the following year and many more to come.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or if you would like to get involved in any way in our InnoWorks program.
